The third annual WyoGives Day, taking place Wednesday, July 13, is a special day to show Wyoming’s passion for helping its neighbors. WyoGives — an initiative of the Wyoming Nonprofit Network — is a powerful, statewide 24-hour online fundraising event that is designed to bring the state together as one community to raise money and awareness for Wyoming’s nonprofits.
Every dollar donated to Food Bank of Wyoming helps provide enough food for four nourishing meals for our neighbors experiencing hunger. Food Bank of Wyoming has a goal to raise $15,000 on WyoGives Day, an amount that will provide enough food for 60,000 meals. And thanks to a matching gift from the Hughes Charitable Foundation, all online donations up to $1,000 per donor will be matched — which means your gift will be doubled to help feed twice as many people!*
Our mission at Food Bank of Wyoming has always been to provide people with the familiar, nourishing food they need to thrive. This has never been a simple undertaking, and today’s tumultuous economic environment has made it all the more challenging.
Food Bank of Wyoming is rising to the challenge to meet the needs of our neighbors by:
- Purchasing more food than ever in our history, including hundreds of thousands of pounds of fruits and vegetables to distribute at no cost to our Hunger Relief Partners through our FRESH Program
- Striving to ensure that much of the food we purchase aligns with the mission of our Culturally Responsive Food Initiative, which aims to overcome barriers of access to food experienced by clients from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Increasing the reach of our mobile pantries and support to our 160+ Hunger Relief Partners
