Dear Hunger Relief Partners,

Food Bank of Wyoming looks forward to a day when all Wyomingites have access to the resources they need to thrive, including enough nutritious food to nourish themselves and their family. No one should have to choose between paying rent or buying quality food. But until that day comes, we will be there for you to support you in feeding our Wyoming neighbors experiencing food insecurity.

We have all weathered a challenging time by working together, being creative, and persisting in the face of difficulties. It’s what we do in Wyoming! Looking forward, our neighbors will continue to be confronted with economic challenges that require our assistance and continued commitment. Inflationary impact on prices, supply chain disruptions, and shortages of available products are challenging all of us and driving more guests to your doors. We know this has stretched your resources, so we ask you to continue to communicate with us about how we can better help you support your community.

In 2023, we are committed to listening to you, our Hunger Relief Partners, to be more responsive to your needs as we work through these economic challenges together. If you would like to learn more about our focus in 2023, read our most recent blog post.

Thank you for the great work that you do each day to care for our neighbors.

Rachel Bailey

Executive Director

Important Date

Friday, February 24: The warehouse and Fresh Food Center will close at 12:00 p.m. All warehouse staff will be at the quarterly Operations Team Training.    * Please note that all HelpDesk staff will be available.

We are proud to announce that Samantha Maxwell is now our Government Programs Representative.

Going forward, her new focus will allow Food Bank of Wyoming to dedicate more time to reach out to our neighbors in need across the state. She is fluent in German, enjoys traveling to different countries, and is always up for a good walk with her puppy!

Partner Highlight: Stagecoach Elementary School

For the last year and a half, Stagecoach Elementary School has been the beneficiary of a wonderful partnership with Food Bank of Wyoming’s Totes of Hope™ Program. This year, the school’s orders have been bigger than years past, a testament of the increased need cause by inflation, COVID, and several other factors.

Here are some heartwarming highlights from the school’s PTO:

“It would be too lengthy to share every positive student interaction we have experienced through this program. But for us as a PTO board, being part of the Totes of Hope™ Program looks like sweet smiles with gratitude, excited receiving hands, and knowing teachers who appreciate that their students don’t have to come to class hungry. This collaboration looks like easing the food insecurity of almost 50 students as they head home each weekend. We are so grateful for this program.”
