How to Get Started as a New Volunteer

Step 1: Complete a Volunteer Profile

  • If you are registering on behalf of your family, you must complete a seperate profile for each family member. Individuals under age 17 will need a waiver signed by a parent/guardian. You  must use the same email address for multiple family members but it cannot be used as a username.

Step 2: Schedule your first volunteer shift

  • View the calendar of open shifts to sign up for an opportunity. You may alternate between list or calendar view.
  • Click on a particular date to view a list of available shifts and tasks.
  • To commit to a shift, click the “Sign Up” button.
  • You will receive a confirmation email with your selected shift and location.

We are open Monday – Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Our shifts are from 8 am to 11:30 am or 1 pm to 3 pm weekdays. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of your shift.
Yes. Please bring in any paperwork you need filled out and let us know when you start your shift. We’ll have it signed for you at the end of your shift.
Volunteers must be at least 14 years old (accompanied by an adult) or 16 years old to volunteer on their own.
All volunteering does occur within our warehouses, so we encourage contacting our office first. We will examine each situation and try to accommodate all to the best of our ability.
Come dressed appropriately for warehouse work. This includes wearing: Closed toed shoes (no sandals please; comfort is also important as you’ll be on your feet for several hours) and shirts with sleeves (no halters or mid-drift shirts please).
We will consider misdemeanor court ordered community service on a case-by-case basis. Please note we are unable to accept court ordered volunteers during our busy seasons of summer and the holidays.
