Happy Holidays from Food Bank of Wyoming!

As we approach the end of this incredibly challenging year, all of us at Food Bank of Wyoming wish to extend our deepest gratitude to each of you. You have braved uncertainty, adapted under immense pressure, and continued to show up for your communities with compassion, resilience, and unwavering commitment. Wyoming neighbors are stronger and more supported because of you.

Thank you for partnering with Food Bank of Wyoming through every twist and turn. Your willingness to collaborate, communicate, and persevere — despite shortages, shifting needs, and unprecedented demand — has been truly remarkable.

We remain steadfast in our commitment to stand beside you now and in the months and years ahead. Whatever the future holds, you will not face it alone. Together, we will continue to nourish Wyoming with dignity, consistency, and care.

From all of us at Food Bank of Wyoming, we wish you a joyful, peaceful, and restorative holiday season. May you find moments of rest, connection, and celebration. Thank you for all you do — for your neighbors, your communities, and for this statewide network we have built together.

IMPORTANT CHANGE TO ORDERING

Food Bank of Wyoming changed our order window starting December 1. The order window has been shortened to 5 business days to streamline the ordering process, reduce order errors, and improve efficiency and accuracy.

You will continue to follow your current delivery or pick-up schedule. For example, if you normally have your order delivered or you pick up on a Thursday, simply count 5 business days, including the day you order and the day you pick up or delivery is coming. You will now start ordering on Friday the week before.

  • Day 1 Order Deadline Date
    • Submit order before 2:00 p.m.

  • Day 2 Preparation
    • Orders are pulled and organized.
  • Day 3 Continued Preparation
    • Extra time may be needed for partner and program orders.
  • Day 4 Staging
    • Orders are loaded or staged for next-day delivery/pick-up.
  • Day 5 Fulfillment
    • Orders are  delivered or picked up.

Please submit your order before 2:00 p.m. and on the correct delivery/pick-up date.

Weekends and holidays are not included in the 5-day cycle.

Keep your route and pick-up schedules on hand to confirm deadlines. All route schedules can be found on the Partner Portal under the Calendar and Schedule icon.

In Memory of Timothy Paul Smith

Our beloved former transportation supervisor, Tim Smith, 73, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025.

A memorial service for Tim will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Casper Community Church, 249 N. Wolcott, Casper, WY 82601.

Tim was an outstanding human being who believed in helping others. That was evident in his approach to the team here at Food Bank of Wyoming, as well as his interactions with all of our partners across Wyoming. A die-hard Green Bay Packers fan, former educator, and football player, Tim was a man of many talents and will be missed by us all.

NATIONAL OATMEAL MUFFIN DAY - December 19

National Oatmeal Muffin Day is celebrated every year on December 19. It is a day to enjoy and appreciate the nutritious and tasty oatmeal muffin. A 4-ounce oatmeal muffin contains approximately 160 calories. Oatmeal muffins can be healthier than other muffins depending on the ingredients used to make them. Adding oatmeal to a muffin recipe increases the fiber content, which is beneficial to overall health. Oatmeal is also known to be good for the heart. Combining oatmeal muffins with fruit will reduce the amount of processed sugar used, too! This is a perfect holiday breakfast that you can make ahead of time and enjoy with family and friends!

Share Your Stories

The Wyoming Legislature will be back in session soon. There is much at stake this session as they will be deciding the fate of SNAP in Wyoming. If the legislature does not approve the additional 25% of funding required by H.B. 1, SNAP will no longer be available in Wyoming. The government shutdown highlighted the importance of SNAP and how it helps families provide meals and nourishment for their loved ones.

Food Security Advocate Kali Goodenough is talking with representatives across the state to educate them on SNAP and its important role in keeping children, families, and older adults nourished. If you would like to share your story or experiences from the shutdown, we can pass it along to decision-makers before the next session.

Please fill out this form to help lift your voice and the voices of the people you who are nourishing in your community.

Food Bank of Wyoming aspires to meet individuals where they are with the foods they need based on their unique circumstances and culture. We show up for any person experiencing hunger knowing that food insecurity can impact any of us at various points in our lives. Today, we may be packing produce for a person facing an unforeseen health crisis and tomorrow we may be providing a weekend food bag to a child whose caregiver may be struggling to find a well-paying job. The circumstances may be different, but we never waver from our mission of igniting the power of community to nourish people facing hunger.
