More than 65 million pounds of food flow through our operation every year, feeding hungry families in our surrounding communities. Our small and mighty team of 100+ employees across four locations, collectively serves 30 counties in Colorado and the entire state of Wyoming. We provide more than 145,000 meals each day to our friends and neighbors facing hunger.

The Branch Director (WYOMING) directs all development, operations, programs and administration of the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies in close partnership with Food Bank of the Rockies’ Denver headquarters. This position implements bold strategic goals, increases community engagement and impact, and positions the organization as a key partner and thought leader in the fight against hunger throughout Wyoming.

What You’ll Do:

  • Direct Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies’ resources to ensure budgetary compliance, fiscal integrity, and increasing financial sustainability.
  • Lead budget development and monitoring of expenses for Wyoming branch.
  • Ensure compliance with external regulations and internal policies.
  • Develop and implement plans and objectives for the WFBR that are effective and innovative.
  • Exercise independent judgment and decision making.
  • Build and maintain an effective team of leaders by providing direction, guidance and feedback.
  • Lead Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies’ fundraising including strong and effective collaborate with overall FBR development team and WFBR development team to meet fundraising goals.
  • Lead WFBR advisory council, building and sustaining a model to increase the organization’s fundraising and community engagement.
  • Represents WFBR to Wyoming public through media, attending events, promotions, conferences and other appropriate venues.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or equivalent work experience
  • Advanced degree preferred (or equivalent work experience)
  • 5-7 years’ experience leading a small or mid-sized organization
  • 5+ years’ supervisory experience
  • Proven track record of fundraising from individuals and corporations preferred
  • Experience in serving as public spokesperson, including media and in-person, preferred
  • Non-profit leadership experience
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language fluently, and communicate verbally and in writing at a professional level

The Programs Manager (WYOMING) is responsible in assisting and collaborating in the overall planning, implementation and evaluation of all hunger relief programs conducted by WFBR’s Programs Department, comprised of four Divisions: Agency Relations, Government Programs, Nutrition Network and Outreach. The Programs Manager will act accordingly to meet guidelines/regulations for Feeding America, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies, as well as support and implement Food Bank of the Rockies’ strategic plan.

What You’ll Do:

  • Maintains thorough knowledge of the functions, operations and regulations of hunger relief programs governed by Feeding America, USDA/FNS, and State of Wyoming
  • Responsible for maintenance and oversite of agency files; manage monitoring and compliance activities in accordance with Feeding America and Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies policies for all existing agencies
  • Coordinate with Development staff to ensure compliance methods are in place with grant requirements and evaluations of program outcomes
  • Utilize WYFBR’s database, CERES, to maintain current partner information, check inventory, and grants; create monthly reports as needed by Leadership Team.
  • Ensure strong partners are in place through recruiting, capacity building, and providing strong customer service across the State to meet Meals per Individual in Need (MPIN) goal.
  • Assists with executing the strategic plan, meeting fiscal year goals and program requirements
  • Research, evaluate and compile data using Feeding America’s Map The Meal Gap methodology in conjunction with CERES Inventory software system to ensure equitable meal distribution in counties
  • Be informed of trends through the FA Network; relationships with outside organizations; networking and attending community meetings
  • Recruit and process applications for Partner Agencies to include conducting partner reviews, account set up, and follow up communications.
  • Track and communicate product recall information to partners.
  • Manage grocery rescue program including pairing partners with donor stores and ensuring reporting is being completed.
  • Responsible for Mobile Pantry program including identifying locations, ensuring funding, placing orders, and working with others to determine delivery.
  • Consolidate data collected for each site.
  • Responsible for Commodities Supplemental Food Program (CSFP): recruit distribution sites; analyze metrics; ensure compliance
  • Other duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
  • Bachelor’s degree a plus
    Management degree or management, supervisory and successful project management experience.
  • Equivalent experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
  • Must have valid driver’s license.
